Growing up a Lawrence native and with my husband (Bobby) and I putting our roots down here, we knew Hilltop was where we HAD to send our kids. We survived the dreaded “waiting list” and the Boyd Family was provided the opportunity to join the Hilltop Family in 2014 when our son, Hank, became a Cricket. Since then, we have transitioned to the Sunflower Room and are anxiously awaiting the classroom reveal for August 2017. We also look forward to our daughter, Laney, starting her Hilltop journey next year. 

I joined the Board of Directors as a parent member in January 2017, and I currently serve as a member of the Finance Committee. I love numbers and spreadsheets. More importantly, I enjoy working with a group toward the common goal of providing the best possible education, atmosphere and growth experiences for our little humans. We need to embrace our children but provide them a place to play, learn and grow safely.

I have been with Kansas Athletics for more than a decade, and I currently serve as Director of the Williams Education Fund. The Williams Fund is the nonprofit fundraising arm of Kansas Athletics, responsible for generating revenue to facilitate and support academic and athletic experiences. I direct the day-to-day operations of business and staffing initiatives. In addition, I manage our department operating budget and the account representative system which generates revenue for the annual fund, capital campaigns and special projects. I received a bachelor’s and master’s degree in education, both from the University of Kansas, and am a third-generation Jayhawk.

In our spare time, the Boyds love sports, concerts, KU/community events, being outside and visiting the family farm.
