How lucky we are to have childcare in Lawrence that surrounds our youngest with education at its best. Hilltop is a jewel that deserves recognition and support, and my efforts on the board will focus on its promotion and growth.

I’ve worked for the University of Kansas since August 2013, when I joined Marketing Communications as a copywriter. Previously, I worked in corporate advertising in Kansas City and communications for the state in Topeka. I earned a master’s degree in creative writing from the University of Alabama, and a bachelor’s degree at Nebraska Wesleyan University.

I’ll use my experience to strengthen Hilltop’s strategic initiatives, and to optimize the communications that reach current Hilltop families, potential parents of Hilltop students, and the KU and Lawrence communities.

My wife and I are expecting our first child in April, who we hope will get to join the happy, active children and staff members at Hilltop. For now, I spend my time preparing the house for our family’s new addition, providing freelance marketing services to local businesses, and watching cooking competition shows.
