I understand the importance of early childhood education in forming the hearts and minds of our young children. My son, Corbin, started attending Hilltop in Fall 2015 in the preschool wing. He was a Chipmunk and then a Meadowlark. I joined the Board of Directors in January 2017 as a parent member. I also serve as a member of the Parent Support Committee.

I was born and raised on a farm in northeast Nebraska. I graduated from the same small high school and college (Wayne State College in Nebraska) as the majority of my family members. I have a bachelor's degree in family and consumer sciences secondary education. After my husband returned from a military deployment and finished his degree, we decided to make a change and move to a larger place with more opportunities Lawrence!

For the last 10 years, I have worked in higher education  Wayne State College, Baker University and currently at KU in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions as a transfer credit analyst. I spend my work days reviewing transcripts and evaluating courses among several other things. I love working in higher education and enjoy seeing students accomplish their academic goals.

Art is one of my passions. In my spare time, you can find me decorating, painting and making things aesthetically pleasing. I also enjoy traveling and spending time with my family.
